বস্ট্রমের ত্রিসংকট হলো নিক বস্ট্রমের 2003 সালের যুক্তি যে তিনটি প্রস্তাবের অন্তত একটি সত্য। মন যেকোনো সাবস্ট্রেটে চলতে পারলে আর আমরা বিশেষ বলে মনে করার কারণ না থাকলে এটি অনুসৃত হয়। হয় প্রায় সব সভ্যতা পূর্বপুরুষ সিমুলেশন চালানোর আগেই বিলুপ্ত হয়, নয়তো পরিণতদের প্রায় কেউই কখনও চালায় না, নয়তো আমরা প্রায় নিশ্চিতভাবেই একটিতে বাস করি।
