সংজ্ঞা

ল্যাটিস QCD হলো কোয়ান্টাম ক্রোমোডায়নামিক্স, অর্থাৎ কোয়ার্ক ও গ্লুয়নের তত্ত্ব, স্থান-কালের বিচ্ছিন্ন বিন্দুর একটি গ্রিডে অধ্যয়নের একটি উপায়। এটি বিজ্ঞানের সবচেয়ে চাহিদাপূর্ণ গণনাগুলোর একটি।

কোয়ার্ক ধাপ। এর প্রয়োজনীয় কম্পিউটিং এত বড় যে কোনো সাধারণ স্কেলে পড়া যায় না।

মডেলে ভূমিকা

পদার্থের নিম্নসীমা কোয়ার্কে পৌঁছালে মোট আর পড়ার মতো থাকে না, আর ল্যাটিস QCD-ই তার কারণ। একটিমাত্র প্রোটনের ভেতরটা যত্ন করে সিমুলেট করতে একটি সুপারকম্পিউটার দীর্ঘ সময় ব্যস্ত থাকে। স্যান্ডবক্স তাকে দৃশ্যকল্পের প্রতিটি প্রোটন দিয়ে গুণ করে।
