# Basisrealität

Definition

Die Basisrealität ist die angenommene nicht simulierte Realität, die Simulationen ausführt, wenn die Simulationshypothese wahr ist. Wir nehmen an, dass es sie gibt, können es aber nicht zeigen, und die Kette der Simulationen könnte nie enden.

Rolle im Modell

Jede Welt in der Sandbox wird von einer Welt eine Ebene höher ausgeführt. Wenn auch diese simuliert ist, hat sie weniger Rechenleistung als die Welt über ihr. Das Fenster Unendlicher Regress macht daraus eine Tiefe: wie viele verschachtelte Welten ein gegebenes Setup ausführen kann, bevor die innerste nicht größer ist als ein Laptop.
