# Theorie der integrierten Information

Definition

Die Theorie der integrierten Information ist Giulio Tononis Vorschlag, dass Bewusstsein der Menge integrierter Information (Φ) entspricht, die ein System erzeugt, über das hinaus, was seine Teile allein erzeugen.

Es ist eines der wenigen Rahmenwerke, die uns im Prinzip sagen könnten, ob eine gegebene Simulation Bewusstseine enthält. Die Sandbox versucht die Rechnung nicht.

Rolle im Modell

IIT verortet das Bewusstsein in der physikalischen Ursache-Wirkungs-Struktur eines Systems, nicht in der Berechnung, die es ausführt. Nach IIT hätte ein Gehirn, das auf gewöhnlicher digitaler Hardware simuliert wird, also fast keines, was auch immer es simuliert.
