# Utilitarismus

Definition

Utilitarismus ist die Theorie, dass die richtige Handlung die ist, die insgesamt das meiste Gute bewirkt. Klassisch heißt das: möglichst viel Lust bei möglichst wenig Schmerz.

Sie bewertet Hochgedreht schlecht und die Voreinstellung Das Jenseits hoch, weil eine schmerzfreie Welt maximaler Glückseligkeit das ist, was die hedonische Arithmetik empfiehlt. Das ist die hedonische Version des Utilitarismus. Die Präferenz- und die Objektivlisten-Version würden die Voreinstellung Das Jenseits nicht befürworten.
