# کران لوید

تعریف

کران لوید حد فیزیکی محاسبه است که ست لوید (2000) یافت. او از مکانیک کوانتومی درآورد که یک کیلوگرم ماده حداکثر حدود 5 × 10^50 عملیات مقدماتی در ثانیه می‌تواند انجام دهد. برای جهان مشاهده‌پذیر این تقریباً 10^104 عملیات در ثانیه می‌شود، و 10^120 در طول تاریخ کیهان.

نقش در مدل

کران لوید سقف نردبان ماشین است. یک رایانهٔ هم‌اندازهٔ جهان را به یک شیء فیزیکی واقعی تبدیل می‌کند، نه فقط یک صنعت ادبی. همهٔ جرم جهان مشاهده‌پذیر، که در حد فیزیکی محاسبه کند، حدود 10^104 عملیات در ثانیه می‌دهد. چند سناریوی جعبه‌شن بیش از آن می‌طلبند. معنای «فیزیک نه می‌گوید» اینجا همین است.
