# Régression à l’infini

Définition

La régression à l’infini est le problème selon lequel, si notre réalité est simulée, la réalité qui l’exécute pourrait l’être aussi, sans endroit naturel où s’arrêter.

La fenêtre Régression. Chaque couche doit exécuter celle qui est imbriquée en elle, donc le calcul disponible fixe une profondeur maximale.

Rôle dans le modèle

Une simulation dans une simulation n’est pas gratuite. Chaque couche doit exécuter celle qui est à l’intérieur. La fenêtre Régression fait la division. Pour la plupart des constructions, la pile est peu profonde. Pour les plus grandes, sa profondeur est nulle, car l’univers extérieur ne peut pas en exécuter même une copie.
