# 基底現実

定義

基底現実とは、シミュレーション仮説が正しい場合に、シミュレーションを動かしている、シミュレートされていないとされる現実です。それが存在すると仮定しますが、存在を示すことはできず、シミュレーションの連鎖は終わらないかもしれません。

このサイトでは

無限後退のウィンドウは、一定の計算量が、最も内側の層がノートパソコンより大きくなくなるまでに、何層の入れ子を保てるかを数えます。

モデルの中での役割

サンドボックスのどの世界も、ひとつ上の世界が動かしています。その世界もシミュレートされているなら、上の世界より計算能力が少なくなります。無限後退のウィンドウは、これを深さに変えます。ある構成が、最も内側の世界がノートパソコンより大きくなくなるまでに、何層の入れ子の世界を動かせるか。
