# FLOPS

定義

FLOPSは、1秒あたりの浮動小数点演算の回数を意味します。機械がどれだけの算術をできるかを測ります。現代のノートパソコンは約10^13、最大のスーパーコンピューターは約10^18です。

モデルの中での役割

FLOPSは、サイト全体の単位です。すべてのタイルと棒は、1秒あたりの演算の速さを、異なる尺度で示しています。ノートパソコンの10兆 FLOPSに何ができて何ができないかがわかれば、桁数を数えることで、ほかのすべての数字が読めます。
