# 統合情報理論

定義

統合情報理論とは、意識は、システムが生み出す統合された情報(Φ)の量、つまり部分が単独で生み出す量を超える分に対応する、というジュリオ・トノーニの提案です。

このサイトでは

あるシミュレーションが心を含むかどうかを、原理的に教えうる、数少ない枠組みのひとつです。サンドボックスは、その計算を試みていません。

モデルの中での役割

IITは、意識を、システムが動かす計算にではなく、物理的な因果構造に置きます。ですからIITでは、通常のデジタルハードウェアでシミュレートされた脳は、何をシミュレートしても、意識をほとんどもちません。モデルの作業上の前提が崩れる、最もよく知られた理論です。サンドボックスは、その前提を仮定し、そう明記しています。
