# 時間刻み

定義

時間刻みとは、シミュレーションのある更新から次の更新までの、シミュレートされた時間の区切りです。速い物理現象には、より小さな時間刻みが必要です。原子ならフェムト秒、電子ならアト秒です。

だから原子の段階では、原子ごとに、1秒あたり10^15回の更新が必要なのです。

モデルの中での役割

細部は二重に積み上がります。何個のものを追跡するか、そしてどのくらいの頻度で更新するか。原子は、フェムト秒ごとに新しい位置が必要なので、原子レベルの世界は、1秒あたり1000兆回の更新で動きます。物質の粒度が細かいと、ものの数だけから想像するより、はるかに多くの計算量がかかるのはそのためです。
