# 통합 정보 이론

정의

통합 정보 이론은 의식이 시스템의 부분들이 따로 만드는 것을 넘어 시스템이 만들어 내는 통합 정보량(Φ)에 해당한다는 줄리오 토노니의 제안이에요.

모델에서의 역할

IIT는 의식이 시스템이 돌리는 계산이 아니라 물리적 인과 구조에 있다고 봐요. 그래서 IIT에서는 일반 디지털 하드웨어에서 시뮬레이션한 뇌는 무엇을 시뮬레이션하든 의식이 거의 없을 거예요. 모델의 작업 전제가 무너지는 가장 잘 알려진 이론이에요. 샌드박스는 그 전제를 가정하고, 그렇다고 밝혀요.
