정의

격자 QCD는 시공간의 이산적인 점들의 격자 위에서 쿼크와 글루온의 이론인 양자색역학을 연구하는 방법이에요. 과학에서 계산 부담이 가장 큰 축에 들어요.

모델에서의 역할

물질 해상도가 쿼크에 이르면 총량을 읽을 수 없게 되는데, 이유는 격자 QCD예요. 양성자 하나의 안쪽을 신중하게 시뮬레이션하는 일은 슈퍼컴퓨터를 오랫동안 바쁘게 만들어요. 샌드박스는 그걸 시나리오의 모든 양성자 수만큼 곱해요.
