# Entanglement

Definition

Entanglement is a quantum link between systems, so that the state of the whole can’t be written as separate states of the parts.

The difference between the Mean-field rung, which treats particles as separate, and the Fully entangled rung, which doesn’t.

Role in the model

Entanglement is the gap between the Mean-field and Fully entangled rungs. Mean-field treats each particle as separate, and the total stays finite. Fully entangled admits they aren’t separate, and the exponent gets an exponent.
