# 整合信息理论

整合信息理论是朱利奥·托诺尼的主张：意识与一个系统所产生的整合信息量（Φ）相匹配，这个量超出其各部分单独产生的量。

它是少数几个原则上能告诉我们某个模拟是否含有心智的框架之一。沙盒没有尝试这个计算。

在模型中的作用

IIT 把意识放在一个系统的物理因果结构里，而不是放在它运行的计算里。所以按 IIT，一个在普通数字硬件上模拟的大脑，无论模拟什么，几乎都不会有意识。它是最知名的、使模型的工作前提失效的理论。沙盒假定了这个前提，并且明说了。
