哲学僵尸是一种想象出来的存在：在物理上和行为上与一个有意识的人完全相同，却没有内在体验。人们用它来论证，意识不能单从物理事实推出。

把心智模型设为“脚本”，就让情景里充满了模仿者。他们按脚本说出恰当的话，做出恰当的反应，背后没有体验。严格意义上，他们不是僵尸。严格的僵尸是一个人在物理和功能上的复制品，而脚本要简单得多。这是让一个世界充满人的最便宜的办法，没有之一。“四个学派”窗口显示每个伦理学派如何评判它。
